Exploits of Programs Written in C Language
Buček, Hynek ; Kněžík, Jan (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This thesis deals with exploiting techniques, using programming errors of C language programs. Work is mainly focused on problems such as: buffer overflow, stack overflow, heap overflow, BSS overflow, format string overflow and integer overflow. Document also describes some of the current counter-measures prevent misuse of these errors. To help understand this topic in the first introductory part is a short chapter focusing on a theoretical basis. The following chapters principles described in detail the various types of attacks. On the end of work we find chapter about security.
Code Analyzer for C Language
Ovšonka, Daniel ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This thesis deals with the principles of program exploitation and detection of potential vulnerabilities in the programs. This detection system offers to create safer program structures. At the beginning of the work the reader is familiarized with the basics of C programming language, assembly language and the GCC compiler. He is also introduced into the matter of exploitation techniques such as buffer overflow, heap overflow, BSS overflow, format string exploits and integer overflow. This work also describes the concept, implementation and results generated by application.
Polymorphic Shellcode
Plocek, Radovan ; Ďurfina, Lukáš (referee) ; Křoustek, Jakub (advisor)
This paper describes important information relevant to creating and using of polymorphic shellcodes. It contains informations about virtual adress space layout on Windows and Linux, about processor's registers and classical shellcodes, which are basics of polymorphic shellcodes. The primary objective of this paper is a construction of an advanced generator of polymorphic shellcodes. It can be used for testing the performance of systems based on a signature detection. It is possible to combine various methods and their level by specification of arguments at program's start-up.
The footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists in Zvolen
Hric, Fedor ; Bajer, Miroslav (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
Diploma´s thesis is about timber structure of footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists over the Slatina river in the city of Zvolen as cast of alternatives. In the first alternative is footbridge designed as a simple arched beam, made of glued laminated timber. Footbridge is also designed with semi through bridge deck, made of structural timber. The second alternative is designed as a tied arch structure. At this alternative is the bridge deck left unchanged(material, sizes of members). Both alternatives are attested by currents standarts.
The roof structure of the chateau building
Hric, Fedor ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis is about timber roof construction of baroque mansion in village Svätý Anton as cast of alternatives. In first alternative is analyzed actual state, which is mansard roof construction with aboriginal supporting elements and carpeneter joints. Aboriginal roof is attested by current standarts. In next alternatives is the shape of the roof left unchanged (inclination and width arrangement of the roof construction) taking into new possible exploitation of space in the future.
Recultivations Locality/Places after Surfaces Mining Coal / Sand / Ore
Kubíček, Jan ; Jícha, Jaroslav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
Recultivation of landscape is necessary process, which goes hand in hand with mineral exploitation. Devastated landscape is recovered back to the stage before exploitation as much as possible, which means that the biological factors are restored. Recultivation creates aestetically and functionally useful landscape, which fits in surrounding biosphere and is able to serve for hunanity and nature again.
Industrial building plant Arvin Meritor Brno
Habarta, Jaroslav ; Vranová, Daniela (referee) ; Boleslavská, Yvona (advisor) ; Donaťáková, Dagmar (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis was the elaboration of project documentation based on the studio project AG036. This is a new Arvin Meritor industrial plant specializing in the production of a car sub-system. The production of the plant should cover the demands of the Škoda Auto car factory, with a planned production of 300,000 vehicles per year. In accordance with the need for intensive exploitation of the territory of the City of Brno, the object is located on a plot in the Brno-Maloměřice district, which is run as brownfield no. 1904 and for which the applicable land plan assumes the production function. The concept of a new building by its location on the given plot takes into account the planned extension of the production part of the plant and eventual use of the site in the form of a new industrial zone. The object itself is designed as three cubic masses divided by illuminating corridors and functionally split into a production and administrative part with staff backgrounds. The production flow starts at the take in ramp to which the reception and storage of the goods is followed, including inspection and registration. Custom assembly takes place on three assembly lines, the production process is completed by a functional test and an output check.
Legal aspects of brown coal exploitation limits
Beňasová, Kateřina ; Sobotka, Michal (advisor) ; Damohorský, Milan (referee)
The thesis aims to provide an analysis of the legal limits imposed on brown coal exploitation in the Czech Republic, including an assessment of how these limits enter into particular stages of coal mining. The first chapter summarizes the applicable mining law legislation. The second chapter deals with restrictions set out by protection of the environment rules. Furthermore, the following chapter focuses on specific topic of so called ecological limits of exploitation. The fourth chapter points out the limits laid by the right of ownership. Finally, the thesis comprises a summary of contained conclusions.
Tar sands exploitation in the Alberta Province, Canada and its environmental impact
Šídová, Kateřina ; Opluštil, Stanislav (advisor) ; Pešek, Jiří (referee)
This thesis provides an overview about the tar sands exploitation in the province of Alberta, Canada and environmental impacts related to their exploitation. Canadian's tar sands deposits represent the 3rd largest crude oil reserve in the world. The economically recoverable reserves were estimated to 168, 7 billion barrels. The introductory part of the thesis explains process of oil formation, including a theory about the tar sands deposits formation. The main part of the thesis describes four most significant tar sands deposits in the Alberta province which differ in physical-chemical properties of extracted crude oil (eg. specific gravity) but also in geology of their deposits. Differences in geological setting require individual approach to extraction of particular deposits. The most common exploitation methods are described. Among them, the surface mining results are the most apparent exploitation impact on a landscape and therefore the major environmental problems are presented through it.
The image of jungle in the novels The Vortex by José Eustasio Rivera and Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
Schürgerová, Johana ; Poláková, Dora (advisor) ; Housková, Anna (referee)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to focus on the image of the rainforest in the roman The Vortex (La vorágine) by Jose Eustasio Rivera and then to compare it with the african jungle where is set the novelle Heart of Darkness by Johseph Conrad. The object of exploring were the effects of the environment on the characters, too. We observed changes in their behaviour and of their actions in the wilderness. In the end, we have shown the historical events that went down in history as gross abuses of human rights and, subsequently, we analyzed the motives of exploitation of both man and nature in both works.
